Controversy

In previous decades the flapper would have been looked down upon. Some conservatives or the people who did things more "old fashion" weren't exactly a fan of flappers.
They felt they were reckless and couldn't believe that women could drink, smoke, or dress the way they did. Sounds similar to how those same kind of people feel about today's youth.
